A TRIP TO SINGAPORE WITH VENTURE X

I first visited Singapore back in 2019 as a two-night layover en-route to the Philippines. It was hardly enough time to scratch the surface of the sprawling city, 281-square miles packed with futuristic gardens, beaches, theme parks, hawker food courts, five star hotels, eclectic neighborhoods, fine dining and more shopping malls than I could count. When Singapore announced they were opening their doors to tourists again, I decided a week-long trip was in order. This time I would plan a proper trip to see all the best sights and eat at all the hottest spots - the perfect opportunity to flex the muscles of Venture X, my new travel card from Capital One. This post is sponsored by Capital One.

MAXIMIZING VENTURE X BY CAPITAL ONE OVERSEAS

I signed up for the Capital One Venture X card a few months ago, and used this recent trip to Singapore to really take advantage of the card's exclusive perks, travel benefits and elevated rewards. From Priority Pass lounge access, to mileage transfers to airline loyalty programs, this trip really showcased the amazing benefits of the card, and why it's the perfect travel companion.

LOUNGE ACCESS

As a Capital One Venture X cardholder, I have unlimited access to Capital One Lounges and 1,300+ Priority Pass lounges worldwide. On this trip to Singapore, I had seven lounges to choose from at the Changi Airport including the Changi Lounge inside The Jewel; Marhaba Lounge and SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 1; Marhaba Lounge, Ambassador Transit Lounge and SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 3; and the Blossom Lounge in Terminal 4.

ELEVATED REWARDS

Thanks to the elevated rewards of the Capital One Venture X card, you earn miles constantly when traveling. Here’s a breakdown of the best way to maximize earnings on a trip: flights booked through Capital One Travel (5X miles), hotel bookings made through Capital One Travel (10X miles), restaurants (2X miles), general shopping (2X miles), rental cars booked through Capital One Travel (5X miles).

Also, Singapore is a great destination if you want to go cashless because they accept credit cards just about everywhere - plus Venture X doesn’t have foreign transaction fees. I love seeing how many miles I accrued on this trip!

CAPITAL ONE TRAVEL

The Capital One Travel price prediction tool saves Venture X cardholders an average of 15% on flights. The travel booking site also proactively matches or beats hotel rates against Expedia, Orbitz and other travel booking sites to make sure Venture X cardholders secure the best possible price.

ADDITIONAL VENTURE X PERKS

And here are a few other perks I love about the Venture X card: up to $300 statement credit annually for bookings made through Capital One Travel; 10,000 bonus miles annually starting on your first anniversary; up to $100 credit for TSA PreCheck or Global Entry.

I looked at my earnings statement for Singapore, and now that I’ve seen all that the Capital One Venture X card can do, I can’t wait to take it with me on my next big adventure.
