Six years ago I traveled to East Africa to tick Uganda off my bucket list. I spent two weeks in the most remote corners of the country, embarking on epic hikes to see gorillas, chimpanzees and several monkey species in the wild. To this day, it remains one of my all-time favorite travels. And for years I've been dreaming about making it back to this part of Africa. This summer I was lucky enough to spend a week in both Kenya and Tanzania with Acanela Expeditions. What a dream to experience safari life in the ultimate safari destination - The Serengeti! Below is a photo diary from my adventures - seven safaris, two countries and nearly 40 hours of driving in seven days.

Kenya's Amboseli National Park was our first safari of the trip. We spotted so many elephants!

The prettiest views of Mt. Kiliminjaro.

Lions crossing the road in The Serengeti - coolest road block ever!

Living the safari lifestyle with my Brics Milano luggage at our camp in the middle of The Serengeti. We saw hyenas right outside our tent at night!

Hippos madness.

What's your favorite safari animal? Mine is the elephant!

Stayed hydrated throughout the trip with my Avana water bottle.

I've seen giraffes on safari before, but I'd never seen giraffes run until this trip to Tanzania. It was absolutely amazing!

So many elephants right outside the window!

Did you know that no zebra stripe pattern is alike?

Our incredible crew of creators on this Acanela Expeditions trip.

Our last sighting in The Serengeti was two male lions just before sunset. No other safari jeeps around - just us. It couldn't have been a more perfect end to our time there.

Stretching my legs after a long road trip from Kenya to Tanzania.

Quick market stop in Arusha.

So much fun piecing together my photos with Made on Made templates throughout the trip!

One of our most incredible sightings was this jaguar and her cub. We must have spent an hour watching them, so beautiful!

Last sunset in The Serengeti with my favorite gals!

We had so many incredible elephant sightings on this trip!

Do you spot the baby?

Mama and cub.

That's me taking photos of a herd of zebra.

Farewell, Tanzania!
Big thanks to Acanela Expeditions for hosting my trip and sponsoring this post! xx
