It's hard to believe that I've been to Bali five times now. And it's even harder to believe I'm not tired of the place yet! Even with the influx of tourists the last couple of years, this island remains a special place to me. I have so many tried-and-true favorites on Bali, but I wanted this trip to be about new experiences and finally seeing places that had been on my list since my first visit five years ago. From the dreamiest temple gates to the legendary sunsets of Uluwatu, I used my week Bali to see a side of the island that was (for the most part) completely new to me.

My first visit to Cappadocia was three years ago on a whirlwind trip through Turkey. The country was ridiculously beautiful, and my travels took me everywhere from the milky travertines of Pammukale to the azure waters of Kas. Of all the areas I visited, it was Cappadocia's moonlike dreamscape of fairy chimneys, rock castles and cave churches that truly swept me off my feet. I left feeling like I didn't have enough time with the place, and I've always had the itch for a return visit. When I found out I would be in Cyprus earlier this year, I immediately knew that somehow I needed to make my way to Cappadocia for one more visit.

This trip was years in the making, but I finally made it to Morocco! Beloved by both Instagrammers and backpackers for its fusion of Arabian, Berber and Euro cultures, my time in Morocco was a completely surreal experience. In 11 days I traveled to four parts of the country,  and for the first time since India, I felt completely removed from home as I played tourist in this exotic land. My travels took me to Chefchaouen (The Blue Pearl), Fez, the Sahara Desert, Aït Benhaddou and Marrakech, with Morocco's blue city being my absolute favorite. Below is my 11-day itinerary, wish I'd been there longer to share a bit more with you guys. ♡

I'd visited Italy a couple of times over the years, but never seemed to make my way to Rome. It was one of those places so many people seemed to either love or hate (never a good sign), and I didn't want to waste precious travel time in a place that might underwhelm me. As I made summer plans to visit Morocco, I decided this was my chance to give Rome a try. A three-day stop seemed like enough time to get a taste of the city - see the sights, eat the gelato and meet the locals. Most of Rome's historic sights were located in and around the Centro Storico, so I was able to see A LOT in just a few days.

Aitutaki was a dream. A 50-minute flight from Rarotonga, the island felt like another world entirely. I wanted to pinch myself flying over the glorious turquoise lagoon surrounded by the prettiest stretch of barrier reef. My three day adventure in and around Aitutaki took me to sandbars, motu and deserted islets, and I couldn't have asked for a more quintessential South Pacific experience. It was perfectly remote with just a handful of tourists, and I felt like I was part of an exclusive club of travelers frolicking around the island. This was the last leg of my Cook Islands trip with the country's tourism board - the perfect end to my adventures in paradise! #lovealittleparadise

A visit to the South Pacific had been a dream of mine for years. I'd traveled to my share of beautiful islands around the world, but something about this exotic land of crystal clear waters, dreamy sandbars and swaying palms seemed especially magical. So when the Cook Islands tourism board invited me to visit for a week, it really was a dream come true. Admittedly, I had to peek at the map on my wall to confirm where the country was located. I'd heard of the Cook Islands, but knew very little about the expansive cluster of islands that sat halfway between Hawaii and New Zealand. My first stop was going to be Rarotonga, the largest of the 15 islands, and a quick Google search confirme...

If you’re on Instagram, Pinterest or even Twitter, chances are you know about the growing pool scene in Bali. In fact, it's become a quintessential part of the island experience the last few years with cliffside pools overlooking the ocean, infinity pools atop the jungle and plunge pools set in the rice fields. I'm not one to lounge poolside 24/7 on holiday, but after 20 hours of airplanes and airports, that was exactly how I wanted to start my fourth visit to Bali. And what better place than the Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay where my villa's private infinity pool overlooked the Indian Ocean. The resort was so kind to host my amazing stay, and it was the perfect settin...

With so much of the world to see, rarely do I plan repeat visits to a particular place. Unless that place is Ubud. This was my fourth visit to Bali's darling gem, and I'm already scheming up plans for a fifth trip later this year. I'm asked all the time what it is I love about Ubud, and I always have trouble answering that question. It's just a feeling I have when I am there - a crazy wonderful reaction to the energy, the zen and the beauty of the darling chaotic wonder. And I'm not alone on this one. The word is out. Ubud definitely felt more touristed this time around, surely thanks to Instagram, Eat, Pray, Love and just all-around good word of mouth. If it was busy whe...
