What country will be the next great Southeast Asia destination? Look no further than Myanmar. It's epic. It's spiritual. It's far-reaching. And it's a place few people have actually traveled to. Now's the time to go. The country has been on my bucket list since 2013, and for awhile I worried about the impact of tourism on a country that for years had been so isolated from the rest of the world. I've watched mass crowds swallow up other destinations in Southeast Asia (Bali and Cambodia quickly come to mind), and I didn't want the same thing to happen to Bagan before ever having the chance to visit. Thankfully, tourism in Myanmar has been slow to catch on. The clock...

I love traveling to Mexico. It's close. The food is amazing. Prices are cheap. And there is so much to experience when it comes to culture, sightseeing and the outdoors. But what I realized earlier this year is that I've really only explored the country's Yucatan and Quintana Roo states. My adventures have taken me all over Tulum, Merida, Cancun and Playa del Carmen, but not to Baja, Sayulita or Puerto Vallarta. I'd been itching to see more of the Pacific, so when the Hard Rock Los Cabos Resort invited me to stay at their brand-new property, I jumped at the chance. I knew Cabo San Lucas was synonymous with all-inclusive resorts, and I wanted to see what all the fuss was a...

One of my goals for 2020 is more domestic travel. I get so caught up in the romanticism of international travel that I forget about all the places I've yet to explore here in the United States. And because I've really only explored California, Nevada, Hawaii and New York, my domestic bucket list is still pretty long - Horseshoe Bend in Arizona, Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah; Death Valley and Alabama Hills in California, Austin, New Orleans, Key West, Miami ... the list goes on! So when Visit Florida asked me to do a road trip along their state's Emerald Coast, I jumped at the opportunity! I'd visited Panama City Beach for the first time last year, and I was dying to go back a...

There's something incredibly special about Thailand's northern region. It's a place of ridiculous beauty - both natural and cultural. A place that's home to the sweetest locals that always make me feel so welcome when I visit. A place that is loved equally by both backpackers and luxury travelers. And a place where it's perfectly okay to chill 24/7 because everyone else is doing the same thing (all that good Chiang Mai energy!). But what amazes me most about this place is the diversity of experiences that can fill a weeklong visit. In just a mere week, I can pack an itinerary with temple hopping, night markets, cooking classes, luxury spas, tea plantations, waterfalls and...

Konichiwa! I'm just back from a whirlwind trip to Japan - literally, I felt like I blinked and it was over. I flew in and out of Osaka, but spent most of my time in Kyoto, and wanted to share my 48-hour itinerary with you guys. The itinerary is perfect for anyone planning a first-time visit. I've included some of Kyoto's most iconic sites, as well as a few off-the-beaten-path gems. I used trains and buses to get around, which might seem overwhelming at first in Japan, but if you use Google maps the transportation system is actually incredibly efficient and easy to use.

I've just returned from a road trip through Northern California's wine country. The trip was only three days, but it felt like a week's worth of experiences. I partnered with Visit California, and together we were able to craft an itinerary that made full use of the close proximity of Napa, Sonoma and Santa Rosa. And it wasn't just a food and wine trip - Visit California came up with places and experiences I didn't know existed up here including African wildlife safaris, hot air balloon rides, redwood cathedrals and even vineyard hopping by VW bus. We squeezed it all into just three days, and I'm sharing everything from my itinerary with you guys in the blog post belo...

I love discovering destinations that have flown completely below my radar. This year, that was Poland. I spent seven days with the country's tourism board visiting cities, sights and landmarks I'd never heard of (and never seen on Instagram) ... and it was a complete breathe of fresh air. In just one week, we visited five cities - barely scratching the surface of the country, but enough to leave wanting more.

For me, LA is an Instagram paradise. For many reasons. It's a quick, cheap flight. I don't have to leave the country. The weather is almost always warm and sunny. Most of the city's prettiest photo locations are FREE. And, most importantly, I love the variety of sights and locations that can be squeezed into a quick visit. I was in LA earlier this month for just a couple of days, and I was amazed at how much I packed into my itinerary with just 48 hours in town - beaches, murals, hotel pools, art installations, views and even a hike!

Six years ago I traveled to East Africa to tick Uganda off my bucket list. I spent two weeks in the most remote corners of the country, embarking on epic hikes to see gorillas, chimpanzees and several monkey species in the wild. To this day, it remains one of my all-time favorite travels. And for years I've been dreaming about making it back to this part of Africa. This summer I was lucky enough to spend a week in both Kenya and Tanzania, and while neither come close to the magic that is Uganda, it was amazing to experience safari life in The Serengeti. Below is a photo diary from my adventures - seven safaris, two markets and nearly 40 hours of driving in seven days. Quite the whirlwind...

I've put together a South Korea guide to all the best spots for Instagram photos. Most of the locations are in Seoul, but there are also a few off-the-beaten-path gems tucked away in the southern part of the country. South Korea really has it all - tea plantations, cute cafes, Seoul rooftop views, colorful murals, libraries, iconic temples, etc. And it's one of the safest placed I've traveled to - that always makes taking photos so much easier.
